Dimensionality Reduction in Deep Learning for Chest X-Ray Analysis of Lung Cancer

Efficiency of some dimensionality reduction techniques, like lung segmentation, bone shadow exclusion, and t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding (t-SNE) for exclusion of outliers, is estimated for analysis of chest X-ray (CXR) 2D images by deep learning approach to help radiologists identify marks of lung cancer in CXR. Training and validation of the simple convolutional neural network (CNN) was performed on the open JSRT dataset (dataset #01), the JSRT after bone shadow exclusion - BSE-JSRT (dataset #02), JSRT after lung segmentation (dataset #03), BSE-JSRT after lung segmentation (dataset #04), and segmented BSE-JSRT after exclusion of outliers by t-SNE method (dataset #05). The results demonstrate that the pre-processed dataset obtained after lung segmentation, bone shadow exclusion, and filtering out the outliers by t-SNE (dataset #05) demonstrates the highest training rate and best accuracy in comparison to the other pre-processed datasets.Comment: 6 pages, 14 figure

Синтез и магнетосопротивление кристаллов (Cd1−x Znx)3As2 (x = 0,007)

The vapor phase growth of Cd3As2—Zn3As2 (in the following (Cd1−x Znx)3As2 solid solutions process is described. The (Cd0,993 Zn0,007)3As2 solid solution single crystals were synthesized. Scanning electron microscopy and electron diffraction data suggest high crystalline quality of studied sample. Its structure and surface morphology, indicating the presence of growth nuclei and cleavage planes, were investigated. Giant anisotropic magnetoresistance and Shubnikov — de Haas oscillations were observed at low temperatures. Obtained results suggests that peculiarities of Dirac semimetal phase persist in (Cd1−x Znx)3As2 solid solution at low zinc content. At the same time, there are indications of some differences with initial Cd3As2 properties.Описана процедура синтеза твердых растворов Cd3As2—Zn3As2 (в дальнейшем, (Cd1−x Znx)3As2 из паровой фазы. Синтезированы монокристаллы твердого раствора (Cd0,993 Zn0,007)3As2. Результаты сканирующей электронной микроскопии и дифракции электронов свидетельствуют о высоком кристаллическом совершенстве изученного образца. Исследована его структура и морфология поверхности, содержащей ростовые зародыши и плоскости скола. В области низких температур выявлены гигантское анизотропное магнетосопротивление, а также осцилляции Шубникова—де Гааза. Полученные результаты указывают на сохранение особенностей фазы дираковского полуметалла для твердого раствора (Cd1−x Znx)3As2 с низким содержанием цинка. В то же время присутствуют указания на возможные отличия от свойств исходного материала Cd3As2

FEATURES AND ANTIBIOTICOREZISTENCE OF COPPER MICROFLOORS, DISTRIBUTED FROM HUMAN RESIDENTIAL WAYS

Respiratory tract infections remain one of the important problems of modern medicine, which is associated with a high level of morbidity in both children and adults, with frequent complications and significant economic losses. These include: pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, rhinitis, sinusitis and other diseases. The analysis of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic coccal microflora, which is the cause of infectious diseases of the human respiratory tract in 115 people of different ages from 1 to 75 years, has been identified, identified and analyzed. From individuals with inflammatory diseases of the mucous membrane of the nose and the nasal sinuses, we identified 36 representatives of the coccal microflora. According to the results of the study, it was found that S. aureus was detected in 77.8% of cases. The frequency of detection of E. faecalis was 13.9%, while S. pyogenes was 8.3%. In the study of microbiological material in patients with chronic tonsillitis and pharyngitis, it was found that 79 of the isolated cultures were S. aureus (43.0%), E. faecalis was found in 29.1%, and S. pyogenes 24, 1%. The frequency of detection of S. epidermidis was only 3.8%. It has been established that S. aureus is the main etiologic agent for inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract. During the study, all patients were grouped by age. Inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract most often suffer from patients aged 1-15 years and 60 years of age and older. High sensitivity of the investigated strains to a number of antibiotics, namely cefazolin, cepriaxone, cefuroxime, was revealed. And resistance to ampicillin. The obtained experimental studies indicate the need for further study of the prevalence of antibiotic resistance of staphylococci, which are part of the conditionally pathogenic microflora of the respiratory tract. And it prompts development of ways to overcome this resistance

Negative magnetoresistance in indium antimonide whiskers doped with tin

Negative magnetoresistance of InSb whiskers with different impurity concentrations 4.4 × 10 ¹⁶–7.16 × 10 ¹⁷ cm −³ was studied in longitudinal magnetic field 0–14 T in the temperature range 4.2–77 K. The negative magnetoresistance reaches about 50% for InSb whiskers with impurity concentration in the vicinity to the metal–insulator transition. The negative magnetoresistance decreases to 35 and 25% for crystals with Sn concentration from the metal and dielectric side of the transition. The longitudinal magnetoresistance twice crosses the axis of the magnetic field induction for the lightly doped crystals. The behavior of the negative magnetoresistance could be explained by the existence of classical size effect, in particular boundary scattering in the subsurface whisker layer
